Bryan Hinton
Bryan Hinton has spent more than 25 years working with the construction industry. As a partner with DGLF CPAs & Business Advisors, he has audited and consulted with general contractors, heavy highway and road builders, and specialty subcontractors. He has extensive experience working with sureties and banks. Bryan spent six years with an international construction company and possesses 20 years of experience in public accounting.
In addition to his audit and consulting work, Bryan has been involved with more than 300 merger and acquisition engagements since 1996. He has learned to identify “deal breakers” early in the process before a significant amount of resources have been expended. He assists in making negotiations easier by developing a reasonable purchase price. Bryan has performed numerous internal audit and acquisition integration engagements. He also has extensive experience with acquisition tax strategies.
Similar to several other partners, Bryan is an author and teacher. He was published in The Journal of Construction Accounting & Taxation in 1999 and 2002, as well as CFMA’s Building Profits in 2002. Bryan has also been a speaker at the AICPA National Construction Industry Conference and the ASA/CFMA Construction Conference. The classes Bryan teaches are on advanced accounting for the construction industry. In addition to speaking engagements, Bryan serves as the facilitator for a peer group made up of several construction companies.
Currently, Bryan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past member of the National Tax Committee of Associated Builders and Contractors.
Bryan graduated from David Lipscomb University in 1984, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
